Raghadan Forest

Raghadan Forest is a juniper-covered mountain park in Al Baha, with misty walking trails, a suspension bridge and lit waterfalls. Open daily from 08:00 to midnight, and welcoming to all ages.

Raghadan Forest is a mountain park in Al Baha, in the south-west of Saudi Arabia. Visitors come for the cool, shaded air, the old juniper woodland and the open views over the Tihamah plains. It suits couples, families and solo travellers, and it works as an easy stop on a weekend away or a longer stay in the region. The park is open every day from 08:00 until midnight, and there is no minimum age. Walking trails run through the junipers and are good for slow strolls and photography. Several viewing points let you watch clouds move across the landscape. The Al Sahab Promenade includes a suspension bridge about 100 metres long, and the waterfalls are lit in colour at dusk. Families will find children's play areas, food kiosks, shopping tents and shaded places to rest, so a full day here is comfortable. In summer, music, cultural performances and seasonal festivals add to the atmosphere. Zipline activities are also reported, so ask us about them when planning. The forest sits high on a mountain escarpment, and it is often wrapped in mist. That height explains the cooler air and the juniper trees, some of them ancient, which give the park its character. It covers more than 600,000 square metres, which leaves plenty of room to wander. Many travellers use it as a base for exploring the wider Al Baha region.
